An Eastern Shore man who says he doesn’t play the Lottery very often reports he was feeling lucky so he purchased a $5 Gold Bar Bingo scratch-off and won a $50,000 top prize.
He found his lottery luck at the 7-Eleven convenience store at 410 North Washington Street in Easton.
After buying the lone ticket, he waited until he got home to scratch it and when he played the game, he covered four corners on the game’s sixth card for a $50,000 payday. Excited about his discovery, he called his parents and his girlfriend to share the great news.
His only plans, as of claiming the prize on Jan. 2 involve saving the money. He works as an HVAC technician but also cuts hair on the side.
The 7-Eleven collects a $500 bonus for selling the top-tier-winning scratch-off.
Gold Bar Bingo went on sale starting in August with eight $50,000 prizes and this win leaves four remaining unclaimed.
