25th Annual MSP Polar Bear Plunge

GET WET AND WILD for a great cause! Join the Maryland Lottery at the Maryland State Police Polar Bear Plunge at Sandy Point State Park for the largest plunge in the world.

This fundraising event, rescheduled from January to March due to COVID-19 concerns, will benefit 6,102 Special Olympics athletes in Maryland. Cheer on the individuals – including those partnering with the Maryland Lottery – who raise funds by plunging into the chilly waters of the Chesapeake Bay.

If diving into the Bay in March isn’t your thing, head over to our tent for Lottery giveaways and lots of fun and games! Make sure to give our famous prize wheel a spin (ages 18 and up). Meet our events team, ask questions about upcoming games and promotions and pose for a photo or two with your Lottery prize. Everybody walks away a winner!
