Glen Burnie Woman Wins Second Big Lottery Prize

Takes home $136,955 FAST PLAY Big Money Doubler jackpot

The new millennium had just begun when a Glen Burnie winner last visited the Maryland Lottery Customer Resource Center to cash in a large winning ticket. Twenty-three years later, she returned to claim a $136,955 progressive jackpot on the FAST PLAY Big Money Doubler game.

“I couldn’t believe it,” the 62-year-old told Lottery officials. “I scanned the FAST PLAY ticket after buying it at Giant, and the message read to take it to Lottery headquarters. I tucked it in my pocket, went out to my car and scanned it on the Maryland Lottery app to confirm.”

The lucky lady then looked closely at the ticket and saw the number eight from her “winning numbers” matched the same number below for the progressive jackpot prize. The anonymous Anne Arundel County resident, who won a $100,000 scratch-off prize in 2000, plans to keep news of her Lottery luck quiet and put her newfound fortune in the bank.

The Lottery retailer that sold the ticket also wins. Giant #2312 at 6626 North Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie earns a $1,000 bonus from the Lottery for selling a jackpot-winning ticket of $100,000 or more.

This is the first progressive jackpot won in the $5 Big Money Doubler game, which went on sale in January 2023 and still has 14 progressive jackpots remaining. Progressive jackpots start at $40,000 and grow with the sale of each ticket until someone buys a progressive jackpot-winning ticket. Also up for grabs are more than 800,000 prizes ranging from $10 to $5,000.
