Players in Maryland, Texas and Virginia matched five of the winning numbers in the drawing to capture $1 million second-tier prizes. No one won the Mega Millions jackpot, which rolled to an estimated annuity value of $940 million for the Friday, Jan. 6 drawing with an estimated cash option of $483.5 million. The jackpot is the fourth-largest in the game’s history and the sixth-largest in U.S. lottery history.

Lottery officials encourage winners to sign the backs of their tickets immediately and keep them in a safe location until they claim their prizes.
