Longtime Racetrax Player Wins $30,946 Prize in Ocean City

An Ocean City resident has been playing Racetrax ever since the Maryland Lottery began offering the game in 2006. For years, he’s played the same horses 10, 11, and 12. Finally, his favorite trifecta came in and gave him a $30,946 pay day.

The 20-draw ticket was purchased at the Cork Bar in Ocean City. His winning race occurred during the third race on his ticket. He watched the race on the Racetrax screen and knew right away he had a big winner.

The 11 horse crossed the finish line first, followed by the 10 and then the 12. By boxing his trifecta bet, he was able to cash in even though the horses did not finish in the exact order on his ticket.

The business owner plans to put his winnings in savings.

For selling the winning ticket, the Cork Bar at 3 Wicomico Street in Ocean City receives a $309.46 bonus.
