Someone in Laurel is walking around with a ticket worth $184,769 after hitting the progressive jackpot Aug. 8 on the Maryland Lottery’s $10 FAST PLAY Grand Progressive game.
The winning ticket was sold at the Exxon gas station at 801 Washington Boulevard in Laurel, which receives a $1,000 bonus.
The Lottery urges the winner to sign the back of the ticket and put it in a safe place. The player has 182 days (six months) to claim the prize.
The Grand Progressive game went on sale starting in April 2024 with 28 progressive jackpot prizes that start at $100,000 and increase each time a ticket is sold. The ticket sold Aug. 8 in Laurel is the fourth of those to be won. The other three — sold in Severna Park ($134,985) on April 13 of this year, Feb. 27 of this year in Laurel ($296,551), and June 3 of 2024 in LaPlata ($190,383) – have all been claimed.
Instructions for claiming prizes are available on the How to Claim page of the Lottery website. Prizes of more than $25,000 must be claimed through Lottery headquarters, either in person or by mail. Lottery headquarters is in the Montgomery Park Business Center, 1800 Washington Blvd., Suite 330, in Baltimore. An appointment is required to claim in person (no walk-ins).
