Check your Powerball tickets if you made a purchase on the Eastern Shore because a $50,000 winner for last night’s drawing was sold in Denton.
The winning numbers for the Jan. 21 Powerball drawing are: 11, 26, 27, 53, 55 and a Powerball of 12.
The third-tier prize winner was sold at the Goose Creek convenience store at 10519 Greensboro Road in the Caroline County community. The winning ticket matched four of the first five numbers drawn as well as the Powerball.
There was also a jackpot winner in North Carolina last night. The estimated annuity jackpot for that win was $209.3 million with an estimated cash option of $95.3 million. The jackpot winner matched all six numbers drawn. The jackpot reset to $20 million for the drawing on Jan. 24.
This is the second Powerball jackpot winner in span of a month as a winning $1.8 billion Powerball jackpot ticket was hit on Christmas Eve in Arkansas.
Powerball tickets are sold in 45 states, along with Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Both the Powerball and Double Play drawings have nine prize tiers, with Powerball prizes ranging from $4 up to the jackpot and Double Play prizes ranging from $7 to $10 million.
