It was only a few months ago that a seafood carry-out owner claimed a $500 scratch-off win. Since then he has upped the ante as he claimed an even bigger prize May 18, thanks to a Bonus Bingo X10 Scratch-Off that was good for a $50,000 payday.
One day, after getting off work, the Abingdon resident made a trip to Northside Liquors at 210 North Philadelphia Boulevard in Aberdeen. He went in for beer and cigarettes and added a scratch-off ticket to his shopping list. He won $20, but instead of taking his small prize and leaving, he decided to buy the $20 ticket that happened to be in a slot next to where he got the ticket that he cashed. The ticket in question would be on the game Bonus Bingo X10.
On card nine of the ticket, he matched his caller’s numbers to those on the card to form an X pattern, which corresponded to a prize of $50,000. He was in disbelief when he realized the amount of the prize.
The restaurant owner says he plans to use his winnings for a vacation, boat repair and savings.
Bonus Bingo X10 was launched in February of 2025 and has a top prize of $500,000, two of which remain unclaimed. Likewise, two second-tier prizes at the $50,000 level also remain unclaimed.
