Plays Superfecta Wheel combination for 20 races
A Montgomery County man who’s been playing the Lottery for years found the perfect combination of horses, races and bet style to score a big Racetrax prize. He didn’t have to wait long to see his horses bring $48,432 worth of good fortune across the finish line.
On May 15, the unsuspecting winner spent $35 on a Superfecta Wheel bet on five horses to run 20 races. This gave him increased chances to have his five horses cross the finish line in his predicted order.
The dedicated player bought his winning ticket at a Sunoco on his way home. The Silver Spring resident also saved $5 on his purchase, thanks to the Racetrax Triple Crown promotion. From now through June 9, Racetrax players receive $1 off each $6 purchase with a maximum discount of $5 on any ticket valued at $30 or more.
The winner claimed his prize Tuesday at Lottery headquarters in Baltimore. He is not the only one enjoying the fast track to fun. Kenilworth Sunoco located at 4836 Kenilworth Avenue in Hyattsville earns a bonus of $484.32 from the Lottery for selling a winning Racetrax ticket of $10,000 or more.
