Third Big Lottery Win Enables Dad to Buy House for Third Adult Child

Joppa man claims $62,622 prize on Racetrax Trifecta Box bet

A lucky Harford County resident is no stranger to playing Lottery games or winning big prizes. In fact, he has won two big Lottery prizes in the past, allowing him to purchase homes for two of his three adult children. Now, the Joppa dad can help buy a home for his third adult child, thanks to a recent Racetrax win of $62,622.

The 58-year-old auto shop owner found his latest big prize at his favorite spot to play Lottery games, Edgewood Amoco BP located at 2201 Pulaski Highway. Many days after work, he stops there to play the 10, 11 and 12 horses in a Trifecta Box bet.

He added the Bonus multiplier option to the 10-draw ticket he bought on Sept. 14 and knew, the next day, via the Maryland Lottery app that he had another big Racetrax win. He’d won in the second race and quadrupled the prize with the Bonus option.

His lucky Lottery retailer, Edgewood Amoco BP, will earn a $626 bonus for its role in selling a winning Racetrax ticket of $10,000 or more. The bonus is equal to 1% of the prize.
