Attention turns to Mega Millions drawing tonight featuring $800 million estimated jackpot annuity
It was double the fun in the Washington suburbs last night as two winning Powerball Double Play tickets were sold in Germantown and Fort Washington.
The winning Double Play numbers to match from the Monday, Sept. 9 drawing are 10, 14, 38, 42 and 45; the Power Ball was 26. Check your tickets!
The first $50,000-winning ticket was purchased in Montgomery County at the Cedar Grove Store, located at 23412 Ridge Road in Germantown. The second third-tier prize was won in Prince George’s County at Livingston Mobile, located at 11800 Livingston Road in Fort Washington.
These are the fourth and fifth third-tier Double Play winners of 2024.
Double Play is a second drawing that occurs 30 minutes after each Powerball drawing, giving players a chance to win up to $10 million with the same ticket numbers. Players can add the feature to Powerball tickets for $1.
The next Powerball jackpot on Sept. 11 features an estimated $134 million annuity and an estimated cash option of $67.6 million. You don’t have to wait until Wednesday, however, for jackpot fun. Tonight’s Mega Millions game takes center stage with at an estimated $800 million annuity and an estimated cash option of $401.8 million.
Lottery officials encourage all winners to sign the backs of their tickets immediately and put them in a safe location. They get 182 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes.
