Friday night’s jackpot now set at $687 million
If you were in Ocean City and purchased Mega Millions tickets for the March 5 drawing, you have 10,000 reasons to check them against the winning numbers in last night’s drawing. A $10,000-winning ticket was sold by the Ocean City 7-Eleven #19354 located at 13900 Coastal Highway in Wicomico County.
The winning numbers to match were the white balls 02, 49, 50, 61 and 70; the gold Mega Ball was 14. To win the third-tier prize, the player must match four of the white balls and the Mega Ball. Lottery officials encourage the winner to sign the back of the ticket immediately and put it in a safe location until the player can claim the prize. Winners have 182 days from the date of the drawing to claim prizes.
There were no jackpot winners last night, but Maryland had 30,516 winners of prizes from $2 to $10,000. The jackpot rolled again to an estimated jackpot annuity of $687 million in the Friday drawing with an estimated cash option of $332.3 million. Tonight, Powerball takes center stage and that game has been on a roll, too. The estimated jackpot annuity is $485 million. The cash option is estimated at $232.4 million.
