$50,000 Powerball Ticket Sold in Silver Spring as Jackpot Rolls to $930 Million

Check your Powerball tickets from the drawing last night (Dec. 8) because a player in Silver Spring missed the jackpot by one number, but still has third-tier winner worth $50,000.

The winning Powerball numbers for the drawing are: 8, 32, 52, 56 and 64 the Powerball is 23. The Silver Spring player matched four of the five white balls plus the red Powerball for the $50,000 prize. The ticket was sold at the Colombia Road Exxon at 12601 Old Columbia Pike in Montgomery County.

Winners are encouraged to sign the backs of tickets and keep winning tickets in a safe location. Tickets for draw game tickets like Powerball expire 182 days after the drawing date.

Winners of prizes larger than $25,000 must redeem tickets at the Maryland Lottery Customer Resource Center in Baltimore, which is open by appointment only. More information is available on the How to Claim page of the Lottery website.

No one matched all five numbers plus the Powerball, so the Wednesday, Dec. 10, jackpot has grown to an estimated annuity value of $930 million with an estimated cash option of $429 million.

Across Maryland, 21,663 Powerball players won prizes ranging from $4 to $100 in last night’s drawing.
