It was no April Fools for a Bonus Match 5 player who won a $50,000 top prize in Carroll County on April 1.
The lucky ticket was purchased at Total Discount Liquors at 1438 Liberty Road in Eldersburg. The retailer will receive a $500 bonus for selling the winner.
The winning numbers from last night’s drawing are: 2, 17, 28, 29, 35. The Bonus Ball was 27.
This is the 17th time the Bonus Match $50,000 top-tier prize has been hit in 2026, including nine prizes won in one drawing by a Montgomery County man.
Bonus Match 5 drawings take place seven days a week. Players select five numbers ranging from one to 39. The Bonus Ball drawn from the remaining 34 numbers provides extra chances to win. To win the $50,000 top-tier prize, you must match the first five numbers.
Lottery officials urge the winner to sign the back of the ticket and put it in a safe place. The player has 182 days to claim the prize.

Lottery headquarters is in the Montgomery Park Business Center, 1800 Washington Blvd., Suite 330, in Baltimore. An appointment is required to claim in person (no walk-ins).
