$50,000 Winning Powerball Ticket Sold in Clinton

Jackpot rolls to $176 million for Wednesday’s drawing

Check your Powerball tickets if you purchased one in Prince George’s County, where there was a $50,000 winner last night.

The third-tier winning ticket was sold at Tucker’s Liquors, located at 8100 Old Alexandria Ferry Road in Clinton. This is the 40th third-tier Maryland Powerball winner of 2024.

The winning numbers from the Monday, Sept. 16 drawing are 8, 9, 11, 27 and 31; the Powerball was 17. There was no jackpot winner last night so Powerball resumed its roll. The estimated jackpot annuity for the Wednesday, Sept. 18 drawing is $176 million with an estimated cash option of $89.4 million.

Lottery officials encourage all winners to sign the backs of their tickets immediately and put them in a safe location. They get 182 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes.

Instructions for claiming prizes are available on the How to Claim page of the Lottery website. Prizes of more than $25,000 must be claimed through Lottery headquarters, either in person or by mail. Lottery headquarters is in the Montgomery Park Business Center, 1800 Washington Blvd., Suite 330, in Baltimore. An appointment is required to claim in person (no walk-ins). The appointment scheduling page shows all available appointment times.

Try your luck with Mega Millions and you could get a free Powerball ticket. The Lottery’s popular Jackpot Reset Promotion is under way through Sept. 26 (unless another jackpot is hit). The promotion will issue at random a free $2 Powerball ticket to players who purchase a Mega Millions ticket. The free ticket will print immediately after the purchase and is good for the next Powerball drawing.
