$50,000-Winning Powerball Ticket Sold in Washington County

Lucky ticket in Monday’s Double Play drawing sold in Hagerstown

Check your Powerball tickets from Monday’s drawing, Maryland Lottery players! Even though no one hit the jackpot, there were 19,549 winning tickets of $4 to $100 sold in our state in the regular drawing and 2,385 winning tickets – including a $50,000 winner – in the Double Play drawing.

The Maryland Lottery is looking for the lucky player who bought the third-tier winning Double Play ticket at Sheetz #464 located at 191 Eastern Boulevard North in Hagerstown. The winning Double Play numbers in the July 3 drawing were 15, 37, 50, 55 and 69; the Powerball was 9.

Double Play is a second drawing that takes place about 30 minutes after the Powerball drawing. Players can add Double Play to their tickets for an additional $1. Adding the Double Play option makes the ticket eligible to win prizes in both the Powerball drawing and the Double Play drawing. Double Play has a top prize of $10 million.

Lottery officials encourage all winners to sign the back of their tickets immediately and put them in a safe location. They get 182 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes.

Instructions on claiming prizes in person or by mail are available HERE. Players must redeem prizes larger than $25,000 by mail or at Lottery headquarters in the Montgomery Park Business Center, 1800 Washington Blvd., Suite 330 in Baltimore. The Lottery’s Claims Center in Baltimore is open by appointment only (no walk-ins). Click HERE to schedule an appointment.
