$500,000-Winning Powerball Double Play Ticket Sold in Aberdeen

Saturday’s Powerball jackpot reaches estimated annuity of $484 million

Check your Powerball tickets closely if you added Double Play for the Monday, March 24 drawing. A $500,000-winning ticket was purchased in Harford County.

A player bought the Double Play second-tier winning ticket at Carsins Run Liquors, located at 3501 Churchville Road in Aberdeen. The winning Double Play numbers from the drawing are 02, 54, 59, 65 and 68; the Powerball was 03.

This is the first second-tier Double Play winning ticket sold in Maryland in 2025. Last night, Maryland had 1,822 Double Play winners of prizes ranging from $7 to $500,000.

Double Play is a second drawing that occurs 30 minutes after each Powerball drawing, giving players a chance to win up to $10 million with the same ticket numbers. Players can add the feature to Powerball tickets for $1.

There was no jackpot, second-tier or third-tier Powerball winners last night in the regular drawing, although 12,316 players won prizes of $4 to $200 (on a ticket with the Power Play option). The jackpot for the March 26 drawing has rolled to an estimated $484 million annuity and has an estimated cash option of $228.1 million.

Lottery officials encourage all winners to sign the backs of their tickets immediately and put them in a safe location. They get 182 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes.

Instructions for claiming prizes are available on the How to Claim page of the Lottery website. Prizes of more than $25,000 must be claimed through Lottery headquarters, either in person or by mail. Lottery headquarters is in the Montgomery Park Business Center, 1800 Washington Blvd., Suite 330, in Baltimore. An appointment is required to claim in person (no walk-ins).
