The Orioles may not have made it to October, but a Maryland Lottery player in Bowie knocked one out of the park Oct. 1 with a $147,550 progressive jackpot win on the FAST PLAY Home Run Riches Walk-Off Winnings game.
The ticket was sold at the 7-Eleven at 3570 Crain Highway. The retailer receives a bonus of $1,000 for selling the winning ticket.
The progressive jackpot started at $40,000 and increased each time a ticket that didn’t win the jackpot was sold. The win in Bowie brought the season to a close for the $5 game, which was the cornerstone of the popular Contestant of the Game second-chance promotion.
During the regular season, players who entered FAST PLAY Home Run Riches tickets into their My Lottery Rewards accounts were entered in monthly drawings. For each of the Orioles 162 regular season games, a player was selected to be the Contestant of the Game, winning $500 for being chosen, $500 more each time an Orioles player hits a home run and $5,000 for each grand slam.
Orioles hit 191 home runs, including three grand slams, in the 2025 regular season. The second-chance promotion awarded $190,000 in prizes.
If you are the Bowie winner of the $147,550 final prize of the season, we encourage you to sign the back of the ticket immediately and put it in a secure location.
