She’s a fan of Maryland Lottery scratch-off games, and, despite her suburban D.C. address, the Baltimore Ravens. Even though the team’s season has ended, she was all smiles while claiming a $200,000 Ravens X10 scratch-off prize.
“No Commanders,” the District Heights woman said, declining to elaborate, but affirming she’s a staunch supporter of the purple and black.
When it comes to playing the Lottery, she has a Pick 4 combination she likes, but her main thing is scratch-offs. This wasn’t her first big win, as several years ago she won $10,000 on an instant ticket.
Asked about that win, she said she had fun with her family spending it.
“I saved a little at the time, but that’s been years ago,” she added.
This prize, though 20 times more substantial, is facing a similar fate: “I’m going to take my family on a cruise and I’m going to save the rest.”
She bought her hot ticket at Keller’s Market at 15624 Livingston Road in Accokeek, which receives a $1,000 bonus for selling the top-prize winning scratch-off.
The Ravens X10 scratch-off still has one $200,000 top prize remaining. Many other prizes are still unclaimed including one $50,000, five $10,000 and tens of thousands of other prizes ranging from $10 to $1,000.
