Mr. Money Bags Wins $1 Million Top Prize on Triple Red 777s Scratch-Off

“Mr. Money Bags,” of Cecil County, is a millionaire after buying the very last Triple Red 777s ticket in a vending machine.

A Cecil County man who calls himself “Mr. Money Bags” had a bit of Lottery inspiration from the person in front of him in line to buy tickets. After watching the man ahead of him buy a few Triple Red 777s tickets, the winner decided to follow suit with the $20 game.

His purchase of a single ticket made him a millionaire.

After picking up his children from the babysitter, “Mr. Money Bags” decided to stop at the Royal Farms store at 1825 Perryville Road in Perryville.

After the man ahead of him bought several Triple Red 777s tickets, there was just one left in the machine. It was that very last ticket “Mr. Money Bags” took home to scratch. He was in the kitchen when he started scratching the ticket. He likes to scratch and reveal the symbols only before scratching the amount won. When he got to the third row of the ticket, he had already saw a number 7 symbol. Once he scratched all of the symbols, he went back and revealed the dollar amount won.

Upon learning that he had won a $1 million prize, he was speechless. A friend of his who was there with him during his discovery picked him up and hugged in celebration. He also shared the great news with his wife and in-laws. who were all as equally as ecstatic.

“Mr. Money Bags” is an auto-body mechanic and is now considering an early retirement. He plans to use his winnings to invest and take a vacation, for starters.

The Royal Farms receives a $1,000 bonus.

Triple Red 777s launched this past May. The ticket began with five $1 million top prizes, and there are still three remaining unclaimed, along with many lower tier prizes ranging from $20 to $50,000.
