“Ms. Bee” of Aberdeen won $50,000 twice in 2025, this time on the Ice scratch-off.
Lottery luck shines on a fortunate great grandmother twice this year. She won $50,000 in March playing the Bonus Bingo X20 scratch-off and just recently won $50,000 again playing the Ice scratch-off.
The most recent win came on the weekend of the Powerball drawing that resulted in two jackpot winners. Using the name “Ms. Bee” for publicity purposes, the big winner said Sept. 8 when she claimed her prize that she was running errands when she stopped at Rutter’s in Aberdeen to pick up some of her favorite games. She chose a few of the $10 Ice tickets because she has won on the game in the past. She began scanning them one at a time.
“When the first couple of tickets were not winners, I knew a win would be coming up,” said “Ms. Bee.”
She was right. Not only was the next ticket a winner, but it was worth $50,000.
“I scratched the first matched number and saw the $10,000 and was excited about that,” she smiled. “But, I kept scratching and revealed four more $10,000 amounts and thought, ‘This is great’.”
The Harford County resident headed home with her winning ticket and showed her daughter for confirmation. Her daughter agreed that “Ms. Bee” was holding a $50,000 winner.
“It’s so amazing because I won $50,000 earlier this year on another scratch-off game,” said the retired federal employee. That big prize came from the popular Bonus Bingo X20 game.
Familiar with the winning experience, she knew exactly how to claim her prize and visited Lottery headquarters to do just that.
“Ms. Bee” said she plans to put her winnings in the bank and will make some home improvements in the near future. The Rutter’s where she bought the ticket is at 1051 South Philadelphia Boulevard in Aberdeen.
