Annapolis Retailer Sells $50,000 Winning Powerball Double Play Ticket

Big win comes in March 4 drawing

Congratulations to our newest $50,000 Powerball winner! A lucky player bought a third-tier winning ticket in the March 4 Double Play drawing.

Giant #167 at 948 Bay Ridge Road in Annapolis sold the ticket. The winning Double Play numbers to match are 3, 19, 29, 53 and 59; the Power Ball was 4. To win the third-tier Double Play prize, players must match four white balls and the red Power Ball.

No one hit the jackpot in last night’s drawing, but Maryland had plenty of winners. The state had 12,801 winners in the regular drawing and 2,162 winners in the Double Play drawing. The jackpot for the Wednesday, March 6 drawing rolled to an estimated annuity of $485 million and an estimated cash option of $232.4 million.

Lottery officials encourage all winners to sign the backs of their tickets immediately and put them in a safe location. They get 182 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes.

Instructions on claiming prizes in person or by mail are available HERE. Players must redeem prizes larger than $25,000 by mail or at Lottery headquarters in the Montgomery Park Business Center, 1800 Washington Blvd., Suite 330 in Baltimore. The Lottery’s Claims Center in Baltimore is open by appointment only (no walk-ins). Click HERE to schedule an appointment.

Double Play is a second drawing that occurs 30 minutes after each Powerball drawing, giving players a chance to win up to $10 million with the same ticket numbers. Players can add the feature to Powerball tickets for $1. This is the state’s second third-tier winning Double Play ticket sold in 2024.
