Jackpot rolls to $376 million for Friday’s drawing
A lucky Mega Millions player has a million reasons to smile this morning after winning a $1 million second-tier prize in the Tuesday, Jan. 18 drawing.
The winning ticket was sold at 7-Eleven #25410 located at 500 Donaldson Avenue in Severn. Check your ticket carefully if you bought one at this Anne Arundel County location. The lucky retailer will receive a $2,500 bonus for selling the ticket.
Players in Maryland, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Texas matched five of the winning numbers in the drawing to capture the prize. No one won the Mega Millions jackpot, which rolled to an estimated annuity value of $376 million for the Friday, Jan. 21 drawing with an estimated cash option of $256.4 million. This is the first Mega Millions ticket worth $1 million sold in Maryland in 2022.
The winning numbers for the drawing were 4, 19, 39, 42 and 52. The Mega Ball number was 9 and the optional Megaplier number was 4.
Lottery officials encourage all winners to sign the backs of their tickets immediately and put them in a safe location. Winners get 182 days from the date of the drawing to claim prizes.

Nationally, 879,856 tickets were winners in the Jan. 18 Mega Millions drawing. Maryland saw 23,523 players win prizes ranging from the $1 million second-tier win down to $2.
Mega Millions tickets are sold in 47 states and jurisdictions. Odds of winning a $1 million prize are 1 in 12 million, and the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 24.
