A Baltimore City woman has claimed the last $50,000 top prize on the $5 scratch-off MONOPOLY™ X20.
She was at home when she scratched the ticket and realized right away she won big. The middle number at the top of the scratch-off was 33 and immediately below that was another 33 with a $50,000 prize underneath. The avid player said she couldn’t believe it.
“When I looked at it and saw that I won, I had to do a double take,” she said with a smile
The West Baltimore resident said Oct. 7 when she claimed the prize at Lottery headquarters in Baltimore she had not decided how to spend the money. The loyal scratch-off player usually prefers the Fire and Ice tickets, but decided to purchase a MONOPOLY™ ticket.
“I don’t know why I bought it. I just had a feeling,” she said.
A retailer also having a good feeling is Montgomery Plaza Liquors at 6227 Baltimore National Pike in Catonsville. Since the Baltimore County retailer sold the top tier-winning scratch-off, it will receive a $500 bonus.
This is the last of eight top prizes of $50,000 on MONOPOLY™ X20. There are still prizes on the game ranging from $5 to $5,000.
