A Baltimore woman became a Lottery millionaire after scratching her way to the $1 million top prize on the All About the Cash game.
The winner said Feb. 20 after claiming her prize at Lottery headquarters in Baltimore that she scanned her ticket’s prize check and received the always popular message “Go to Lottery,” but she left the rest of the ticket unscratched. She said she knew the message was a good sign and wanted to take her ticket to the store clerk to check the amount, but the business was too crowded. Instead, she went home and scratched the latex from the play area to figure out how much she won.
She shouted “unbelievable” when she saw she matched the number 3 with a prize of $1 million.
“At first I had to look at it twice to make sure I was a winner,” the retired banker said with a smile.
According to the north Baltimore resident, she plans on investing her prize and added that she will probably spoil herself with a dream vacation to Hawaii.
The loyal player said she has enjoyed scratch-off games for years, but is hanging up her scratcher after this win.
“I always said if I would win that I was going to stop playing,” she elaborated.
The winning ticket was purchased at the Royal Farms store at 7204 York Road in Towson. For selling the winning scratch-off, the Baltimore County retailer receives a bonus of $1,000.
The $20 All About the Cash scratch-off was released on July 18, 2025 and this is the third $1 million top prize to be claimed, but two more remain unclaimed. Two of the original four $50,000 second-tier prizes are also unclaimed, along with prizes ranging from $20 to $10,000.
