A Baltimore woman didn’t know her own strength as she powered her way to a $60,000 prize on The Big Spin Wheel.
A Baltimore woman is the seventh winner to come to Maryland Lottery headquarters in Baltimore to spin The Big Spin Wheel. The anonymous winner spun her way to a $60,000 prize.
“It was a great experience. I enjoyed being here,” said the winner, who is using the alias Puddin’.
One of the rules when spinning the wheel is that the wheel must go around three times. Puddin’ was worried that she would not be able to get the wheel to take three trips, but she didn’t know her own strength. She easily spun the wheel successfully on her first attempt.
“I thought the wheel would be heavier than it was,” she said with a laugh.
According to Puddin’, she became a fan of THE BIG SPIN scratch-off after she watched the video of a Frederick mom who won $50,000 spinning the wheel last month.
“If she can win $50,000, I can win that too,” the retired nurse added.
Then she decided to start purchasing THE BIG SPIN tickets. She noticed she had a “SPIN” symbol on one of her tickets and took it to the retailer who scanned it and told her she had the chance to spin the wheel for a prize between $50,000 and $250,000.
The winner plans to use some of her prize to pay off bills and use the rest on home improvement renovations.
The ticket was purchased at Dutch Liquors at 2325 Cleanleigh Drive in Parkville. The Baltimore County retailer will receive a $600 bonus for selling the winner.
THE BIG SPIN is a scratch-off game that launched in March. Players who reveal a “SPIN” symbol can scan their scratch-off at a Lottery retailer or by using the My Lottery Rewards app. Most “SPIN” symbols lead to a cash prize of $10 to $250, but eight winning tickets will send players to try their luck with The Big Spin Wheel at Lottery headquarters in Baltimore. There is now only one unclaimed ticket remaining.
Players can also win instant prizes on the ticket. There is one $50,000 instant top prize remaining, along with thousands of prizes ranging from $5 and $5,000.
