Boredom Leads Fort Washington Woman to a $25,000 Keno Win

Claims prize on a 9-spot Super Bonus wager

“I was just bored,” a lucky Fort Washington woman said when asked how she came across a $25,000 winning Keno ticket.

The 36-year-old plays every now and then, she said. On this particular day, boredom struck just in time to get her up and to a nearby retailer to buy a $6 one-draw, 9-spot ticket with the Super Bonus feature. The lucky lady visited Base Liquors located at 4805 Allentown Road in Suitland. After getting her Keno fix, she checked the Lottery app later that day.

Her numbers were 7, 17, 27, 31, 32, 33, 37, 49 and 50. After matching eight of the nine numbers and getting a 5X Super Bonus multiplier, the happy player walked away with a $25,000 prize.

“Oh shoot,” she said with delight after seeing so much Lottery luck brighten her day. She then shared the great news with her parents, who were very excited for her. The winner doesn’t have plans yet for her newfound fortune except to take care of her children.

Her lucky Prince George’s County Lottery retailer can also celebrate. Base Liquors will receive a $250 bonus from the Lottery for its role in selling a winning Keno ticket worth $25,000.
