Churchton Retailer Sells $10,000 Winning Mega Millions Ticket

Jackpot rolls to $203 million for June 2 drawing

A lucky Maryland Lottery player was one of five in the nation to score a $10,000 third-tier prize in the Tuesday, May 30 Mega Millions drawing.

Christopher’s Fine Foods at 5570 Shady Side Road in Churchton (Anne Arundel County) sold the lucky ticket, which matched four balls and the Mega Ball in the drawing. The winning numbers were 13, 16, 40, 64 and 68; the Mega Ball was 21. In all, Maryland had 12,004 winners of prizes from $2 to $10,000 in last night’s drawing.

Both of the national jackpot games – Mega Millions and Powerball – have rolling jackpots that are past the $200 million mark.

The last time someone hit the Mega Millions jackpot was April 18, when a New York player won the $20 million prize. The jackpot for Friday’s drawing has an estimated annuity of $203 million with a cash option of $104.6 million. The Powerball jackpot has rolled to an estimated annuity of $239 million for tonight’s drawing, with a cash option of $121.5 million. The last Powerball jackpot was hit April 20 for $252.6 million in Ohio.
