Delaware Man Takes Home $100,000 Maryland Lottery Scratch-Off Top Prize

A Delaware resident, who is a fan of Maryland Lottery scratch-offs, is feeling quite a “rush”. It could be a rush of adrenaline, a need to rush to the bank to make a big deposit or both. That’s because he just scratched his way to a $100,000 top prize on a Money Rush scratch-off.

The Delaware native stopped at U5 Foods at 8117 Ocean Gateway in Easton. He was initially there to pick up a friend, and nearly left before buying any tickets. But, before heading out of the door, something told him to purchase some instant tickets. Already familiar with the $10 Money Rush scratch-off, he decided to buy a few of those.

After scratching the winning ticket, he immediately knew he won. The excitement really set in once he realized he had a $100,000 top-prize winning ticket. “This store is about to be famous,” he told the store clerk.

In addition to telling the store clerk, he also shared news of his win with his brother.

The Delaware certified nursing assistant hasn’t made plans for his win beyond paying off his truck.

For selling the top-prize winning scratch-off, U5 Foods will collect a $1,000 bonus from the Lottery.

The Money Rush scratch-off launched in July 2024 and has four remaining $100,000 top prizes. In addition, there are three $50,000, 13 $10,000 and numerous prizes between $10 and $1,000 remaining.
