Lucky woman claims $50,000 prize
With her birthday just a few days away, making plans just got a lot easier for a Fort Washington woman who, just a couple days ago, scored a $50,000 Pick 5 prize.
The soon-to-be 58-year-old woman visited her usual place to play all of her favorite Lottery games, Harbor Market, which is located at 5515 Livingston Road in Oxon Hill. She frequently uses the numbers of meaningful family dates as her Pick 5 number choices.
The winner was in another state when someone just happened to ask her about Maryland Lottery drawing results. She then realized she had forgotten to check her ticket. The lucky lady was completely shocked when she checked the Maryland Lottery app on her phone and learned of her win.
So far, the program manager has shared the news with a few immediate family members. Plans of her winnings include buying new carpet for the home and a nice present for her birthday. When she’s not working or playing the Lottery, she enjoys gardening and visiting casinos.
