Parkville resident claims $88,000 top prize on Electric 8s instant ticket
A Baltimore County woman won twice during a fun-filled family game night where scratch-offs were given as prizes. When the 29-year-old Parkville resident emerged victorious, she received an Electric 8s scratch-off as a prize that delivered an electrifying $88,000 win.
After scanning the instant ticket’s prize check area using the Maryland Lottery app, the lucky lady thought there must be an error. The message congratulated her on having a winning instant ticket. That’s when she began to scratch off the game. Making it even more exciting is the fact that it wasn’t until she got to the very last square at the bottom of the play area that she revealed her prize.
The happy winner and other family members began screaming and shouting with excitement when she revealed the matching number and prize. The human resources professional is considering using her windfall for a vacation but doesn’t have any solid plans yet. When she isn’t working or playing Lottery games, she enjoys traveling, the winner said.
Her $10 scratch-off was purchased at Royal Farms #179 located at 4401 North Point Boulevard in Sparrows Point. The Baltimore County retailer will collect a bonus of $880 from the Lottery for selling an $88,000 top-prize winning scratch-off.
The Electric 8s game went on sale in November. Our game night winner found the first of the scratch-off’s eight $88,000 top prizes. Also remaining are 25 $10,000 prizes, 51 $1,000 prizes along with others ranging from $10 to $500.
