When Angela Martinez-Gomez, of Forestville, scanned her JURASSIC PARK ticket to see if it was a winner, the result put a big smile on her face because it turned out to be worth $50,000.
“I couldn’t believe it,” the grandmother said Dec. 2 after claiming her windfall at Lottery headquarters in Baltimore.
The Prince George’s County resident said she plans to use her prize money on dental work and to purchase gifts for her grandchildren.
The winning ticket was purchased and scanned the at 7-Eleven store at 3004 Forestville Road in Prince George’s County. The store picks up a bonus of $500 equal to 1% of the prize amount.
The $5 JURASSIC PARK scratch-off went on sale Sept. 19 with six top prizes of $50,000. Angela is the third person to claim a top prize, joining players from Washington D.C. and Elkridge. Three $50,000 prizes remain unclaimed, along with tens of thousands of other prizes ranging from $5 to $5,000.
Non-winning JURASSIC PARK scratch-offs can be entered into My Lottery Rewards for entries into the second-chance promotion for a chance to win a six-day, five-night trip to Oahu, Hawaii. While in Hawaii, each trip winner, alongside winners from all of the other participating lotteries, will get a chance to play the $1,000,000 JACKPOT CHALLENGE for a chance to win up to $1 million!
