A Dundalk man was all smiles July 22 as he entered Maryland Lottery headquarters with a $100,000-winning Mega Bucks scratch-off.
His ticket had a winning number 6 that matched with a number 6 in the game’s play area. More importantly, the 6 in the play area was over the amount $100,000, giving him the fourth of the $10 game’s nine top tier prizes.
According to the winner, he was brimming with excitement when he saw he was a top-prize winner.
He bought the hot ticket at O’Conner’s Liquor and Check Cash at 4801 Eastern Avenue in Baltimore City’s Greektown neighborhood. The shop receives a bonus of $1,000, equal to 1% of the prize amount.
The Mega Bucks game went on sale on Nov. 27, 2024 with nine top prizes of $100,000 and 10 second-tier prizes of $50,000. In addition to the three remaining unclaimed $100,000 prizes, the game has three prizes remaining at the $50,000 level, and 14 of the original 32 at the $10,000 level.
