Finds luck playing 200X The Cash instant ticket
After a Keno win of $465, an enthusiastic player from Frederick County used some of his windfall to try his luck with a Maryland Lottery scratch-off. The player ended up, several winning scratch-offs later, $50,000 richer.
The Keno fan captured a second-tier prize on a $30 200X The Cash game purchased at Paddock Wine & Spirits in Woodbine.
“He loves it,” the winner’s wife said of Keno when the pair visited Lottery headquarters in Baltimore to claim the prize. “He plays all the time,” she added, noting that she is an occasional Lottery player.
The road to his Lottery win started when the player purchased a $30 scratch-off with some of his Keno prize proceeds. He won $30 and so he bought another $30 instant ticket, winning $40 on that game. Next, he bought the 200X The Cash scratch-off and scored one of the game’s six second-tier $50,000 prizes. This game has three remaining top prizes of $2 million and four remaining $50,000 prizes.
It’s the first time the Keno player has ever won such a large prize. The husband and wife, who are proud parents of a young canine, say a fence is on the list of possible projects funded by the Lottery windfall.
Bragging rights for the sale of the lucky ticket go to Paddock Wine & Spirits, which is located at 7627 Woodbine Road in Carroll County.
