Frederick Man Loads His Pockets with Hefty Lottery Win

Claims $50,000 top prize on $500 Loaded scratch-off

A Frederick County resident who tried his luck with two $500 Loaded scratch-offs loaded up on a big win recently. While one scratch-off carried no prize, the second one gave the fortunate player a top prize of $50,000 to ring in the New Year.

Although this is his biggest Lottery win, the 52-year-old is no stranger to Lottery luck. In 2010, he won a $10,000 Mega Millions prize.

The happy Frederick resident found his luck at Wawa #554 located at 5833 Ballenger Creek Pike in Frederick. His initial plan was to buy gas but then the urge to play suddenly hit him. After buying his two $5 instant tickets, the anonymous player checked for a win while in the store. “I was very happy,” he said, when he saw the “See Lottery” message on the store’s ticket scanner.

As of now, he has no plans for his Lottery winnings. Wawa #554 is a winner, too. The convenience store will receive a $500 bonus from the Lottery for its role in selling a $50,000 top-prize winning scratch-off.

The $500 Loaded game hit retailers’ shelves in May 2021. A member of the Loaded Family of Games, this scratch-off is joined by four others at the $1, $2, $10 and $20 price point. Try your luck with the $50 Loaded game, $100 Loaded, $1,000 Loaded and $5,000 Loaded scratch-off games.
