Pick 3 / Pick 4 / Pick 5
How to Play
You must be 18 years old or older to buy or cash Pick 3, Pick 4 and Pick 5 tickets.
Visit a Maryland Lottery Retailer
Provide the Maryland Lottery retailer with your playslip or use a self-service terminal to manually select your numbers or select “quick pick.” Before you use your playslip, be sure to verify that the numbers selected on your playslip are the numbers you want to play.
- Playslips are available at any Maryland Lottery® retail location or create and use the ePlayslip available on the MD Lottery mobile app.
- Select the appropriate playslip for the 3-digit, 4-digit or 5-digit numbers you want to play.
- Each playslip has five panels, so you can select up to five sets of numbers on a single playslip.
- Make a heavy vertical mark through each number you choose. Use only pencil or blue or black ink. Red ink will not be accepted. If you make a mistake, mark the “VOID” box for that panel. Then use any remaining open play areas to complete your selections. Please do not attempt to erase errors.
- If you want all of your numbers to be randomly selected, mark the “Quick Pick” box at the bottom of each panel you want your numbers selected for you.
- If too many or too few numbers are selected on any panel, or if numbers are incorrectly marked for the Bet Type selected, the playslip will be rejected.
- If you are using the ePlayslip on the MD Lottery mobile app, follow the same instructions, but instead of handing your paper playslip to the retailer for processing, your ePlayslip will be scanned from your mobile phone.
- It is your responsibility to make sure your playslip represents the numbers you wish to play, the bet types you wish to make, the amount you want to wager, and the drawing day(s) you want to enter.

General
Pick 3, Pick 4 and Pick 5 drawings are held twice a day, seven (7) days a week. Mark the Time of Draw you wish to play. You can play the same numbers for 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7 days in a row for the Time of Draw(s) selected, include future days of drawings by marking the appropriate “NUMBER OF DRAWS” or “NUMBER OF DAYS” box, depending on the game you are playing, or selecting the number of days at the self-service terminal. You can choose Midday, Evening or Both. You will receive one ticket for all of the drawings and days you select. Only mark “Number of Draws” or “Number of Days” if you want to play your numbers for more than one drawing day.
Example: Mark “5” under “NUMBER OF DAYS” and receive one ticket for 10 draws (5 midday, 5 evening).
Advance Play
Advance Play is an option that allows you to play your number(s) for one or more drawings in the future, NOT TODAY. If you wish to play your number(s) for more than one drawing, mark the day of the week on which you want your drawings to begin and then mark the “Number of Draws” you want to play. The Number of Draws available for Advance Play is determined by the day of the first draw and cannot exceed more than six days after the date of purchase. Be sure to indicate on your playslip if you want Midday, Evening or Both. Advance play is not available for Pick 5.
Tickets
You will receive a ticket once you have made your selections and given your playslip to the Lottery retailer or by using the self-service vending machine. Be sure to save your ticket to claim any winnings you may receive.
Tickets are only valid for the time of draws and number of draws shown on the ticket. If you are a winner before the final draw on your ticket, you can cash your ticket up to $600 at a Maryland Lottery retailer. You will receive an exchange ticket for the remaining plays.
How to Win
You can win Pick 3, Pick 4 and Pick 5 drawings based on your bet as shown in the Prize Structure.
