A scratch-off dabbler from White Marsh got a jolt of happiness recently when she scratched a $20 Triple Red 777s ticket and won a $50,000 prize.
Accompanied by family members when she claimed the prize Aug. 31 at Lottery headquarters in Baltimore, the grandmother said she’d won smaller prizes of a few dollars here and there in the past.
“This is a big one,” she said.
She has no special plans for her windfall, but she did say her grandchildren would end up with some surprises.
She bought the hot ticket at Hamilton Park Liquors at 2323 E. Northern Parkway in Baltimore.
Triple Red 777s has a top prize of $1 million and three of those remain unclaimed. The White Marsh grandmother’s winning ticket was the third of six $50,000 prizes, leaving another three at that level unclaimed. The game also has 39 remaining prizes at the $10,000 level.
