She’s a mom, a grandmother and a great-grandmother, and now a Pasadena woman is also a big Maryland Lottery winner.
On Sept. 3, she claimed a $57,777 top prize on the Triple Red 7s Tripler scratch-off and reported she’s been hopeful for something that big for many years.
What’s kept her playing?
“I like the money!” she smiled and gave a few claps.
Her previous largest win ever was a $5,000 Pick 4 prize.
Though she’s still pondering what to do with the windfall, she acknowledges the coming holiday season will be a good one for her family members.
She bought the hot ticket at Whitey’s Liquors at 803 North Hammond’s Ferry Road in Linthicum and the store receives a bonus of $577.77. The Triple Red 7s Tripler is part of a family of games. The $5 ticket went on sale in May with eight prizes of $57,777, and, after the Pasadena woman’s win, four of those remain unclaimed.
