Happy Winner Flabbergasted by Large Scratch-Off Win

Landover Hills man claims top prize on $250,000 Cash Winfall instant ticket

A Landover Hills man has made playing Maryland Lottery one of his favorite pastimes. Particularly, he enjoys scratching instant tickets after work as means of relaxation. His relaxation may have been briefly interrupted by a $250,000 top-prize win on a $250,000 Cash Winfall scratch-off.

The 61-year-old project manager bought his ticket at his favorite Lottery store, David’s Liquors at 7025 Annapolis Road in Hyattsville. He always looks for the newer scratch-offs and thus found himself drawn to the newly released $10 ticket.

Later that day, he went home and scratched off the $250,000 winning ticket. He told Lottery officials that he can now make retirement moves thanks to this windfall.

The happy winner enjoys singing for his church and wildlife photography. In fact, he plans to use part of his winnings to buy new camera gear.

David’s Liquors will receive a $1,000 bonus for its role in selling a top-prize winning scratch-off worth $250,000. The $250,000 Cash Winfall ticket just launched last week with five top prizes. This win leaves four remaining, ten $10,000 prizes and several smaller prizes remaining.
