Harford County Retailer Sells $50,000-Winning Bonus Match 5 Ticket

Lucky ticket sold for Oct. 26 drawing

A lucky Lottery player in Harford County is $50,000 richer this morning after buying a top-prize-winning Bonus Match 5 ticket. The Maryland Lottery is looking for the player holding the lucky ticket from the Monday, Oct. 26 drawing.

Royal Farms store #065, located at 630 Edgewood Road in Edgewood, sold the lucky ticket, which matches the five winning numbers of 4, 9, 16, 31 and 34. The Bonus Ball number was 15. Lottery officials recommend the winner sign the back of the ticket and keep it in a safe place until claiming the prize. Winners typically get 182 days from the date of the drawing to claim prizes. However, the Lottery has temporarily extended claiming deadlines due to Maryland’s COVID-19 state of emergency.

The winner can claim the $50,000 prize by mail or in person by appointment at the Lottery Customer Resource Center. Get details on how to claim by mail here or schedule an appointment here.

The Royal Farms store in Edgewood also has reason to celebrate! The Lottery will give the retailer a bonus of $500 for selling a top-prize Bonus Match 5 ticket.

Bonus Match 5 drawings take place seven days a week. Players select five numbers ranging from 1 to 39. The Bonus Ball drawn from the remaining 34 numbers provides extra chances to win. Your ticket is a winner if you match five, four or three of the original five winning numbers selected in the drawing. If you match the Bonus Ball number, you only need to match four, three or two of your original numbers to win!
