Baltimore County player receives big surprise in time for the holidays
There’s nothing like a $50,000 win on a holiday scratch-off to make your life instantly merrier. An anonymous Sparrows Point player had plenty to smile about after revealing his $50,000 top prize on a Holiday Riches instant ticket.
The 46-year-old scratched off a pair of lucky number 2s on his game to win $50,000 instantly. After claiming his prize, the Baltimore County player was treated to even more fun as Maryland Lottery staff cheered his arrival in the Winner’s Circle.
The winner found his lucky $5 instant ticket at Cut Rate Liquors. The Lottery retailer, located at 4039 North Point Boulevard in Dundalk, will receive a $500 bonus from the Lottery for selling a $50,000 top-prize winning scratch-off.
Plenty of prizes remain in this holiday-themed game, including seven more $50,000 top prizes and eight $5,000 prizes. Holiday Riches is one of five Maryland Lottery holiday scratch-offs that went on sale in October that can be used as party favors or stocking stuffers for adults on your holiday list this season.
