Home Projects on Horizon for Eastern Shore’s $100,000 Scratch-off Winners

Bonus Buck$ instant ticket gives up first top prize

A Pick 3 and Pick 4 player from Cambridge said he changes up his Lottery game choice from time to time by adding a scratch-off to the mix. That lucky change resulted in a $100,000 payday, thanks to the Bonus Buck$ game.

“It was just a lucky thing. I tried it out,” the 74-year-old said of the $10 scratch-off. The loyal Eastern Shore player said he is thankful for the top-prize win, describing it as “a blessing.” He claimed his prize at Maryland Lottery headquarters in Baltimore with his wife by his side. She also is a regular player. “I play and I buy him scratch-offs,” she said.

The Dorchester County couple plan to put some of their winnings toward household projects. Meanwhile, the happy husband said he will keep playing his favorite games as well as the national jackpot games. “I want to win Mega Millions!”

Sharing in their good fortune is the source of their winning scratch-off. Happy Market located at 222 Washington Street in Cambridge will receive a bonus of $1,000 from the Lottery for selling a $100,000 top-prize winning scratch-off. The bonus equals 1% of the prize.

This was the first top prize won on the Bonus Buck$ game, leaving another seven prizes at the $100,000 level. The prize also has 12 unclaimed $10,000 prizes, 21 $5,000 prizes and others ranging from $10 to $2,000.
