An electrician apprentice from Hyattsville enjoys occupying his free time with lottery games, including both scratch-off tickets and terminal games. He recently bought a $2 Powerball ticket and it turned out to be a $50,000 winner.
The Hyattsville man visited Crown Liquors at 6579 Ager Road in Hyattsville and replayed his numbers, 16, 18, 28, 30 and 59 with a Powerball of 11. He matched all of the numbers except for 18 on the June 27 drawing, earning him a third-tier $50,000 payday.
He was quite excited when he discovered his $50,000 prize and immediately called his father, who’s also an avid lottery player, to share the news.
He plans to put his winnings into savings. When he’s not working or playing lottery, he enjoys watching sports and is a huge Baltimore Ravens fan.
