Laurel Woman Wins $57,777 on Triple Red 7s Tripler Scratch-Off

A Laurel woman was on her way to visit a friend in Glen Burnie when she stopped at 7-Eleven for coffee. Although she went in for a cup of joe, she is also an avid Lottery player and couldn’t pass up a chance to try her luck with a scratch-off ticket. She purchased one $5 Triple Red 7s Tripler and ended up winning a $57,777 top prize.

She claimed the windfall May 28 at Lottery headquarters in Baltimore.

The winner visited the 7-Eleven at 7179 Baltimore & Annapolis Boulevard in Glen Burnie. After playing Racetrax, which is her favorite Lottery game, she had a spare $5 bill and decided on the Triple Red 7s Tripler ticket. Once she got back to her car, she scratched the ticket revealing a black 7 symbol with the corresponding $57,777 top prize. She next scanned the ticket using the Maryland Lottery app, which confirmed the big win.

She experienced quite shock as a result of her discovery. For the most part, however, news of her big prize has been kept under wraps. So far she only has shared the news with a few people. The Laurel woman plans to use her winnings to pay bills.

The scratch-off winner works at a tire shop and when she’s not working, she enjoys playing Lottery games and visiting the casino.

The 7-Eleven will receive a $577 bonus.

Triple Red 7s Tripler was launched earlier this month. This win is the first top prize claimed since the ticket was launched, with another seven still available.
