Lottery Luck Totaling Six Figures Finds Salisbury Woman – Again

$100,000 FAST PLAY win a real surprise

The fun of playing Maryland Lottery games and the chance that something amazing might happen made a loyal player out of a Wicomico County counselor. Of course, she also loves it when her fun and games deliver a big prize.

That amazing something she always hopes to experience happened to the Lottery fan last week when she bought a $10 FAST PLAY Winfall Doubler ticket. That game put $100,000 in her bank account. This was her second big win, too. The Salisbury resident, who works with a nonprofit to provide counseling to older Marylanders, won $200,000 just four years ago playing a scratch-off.

“I played almost only scratch tickets for the longest time,” she said. “After my big win, though, my luck sort of slowed down so I switched to FAST PLAY games. I really like them.”

Her lucky FAST PLAY Winfall Doubler game went on sale in mid-January and waited for the Eastern Shore woman to visit Royal Farms #005 in Salisbury to relinquish its first of 24 $100,000 top prizes. This game, which has no prize less than $20, still has 20 unclaimed $50,000 prizes, 30 $20,000 prizes and 31 $10,000 prizes awaiting discovery.

“When I saw the matching number, I got excited,” said the 44-year-old. “When I saw the $100,000 prize, I was ecstatic, just over the moon!”

Paying bills, making home repairs and taking a vacation are the top items on the winner’s list of how her recent Winfall Doubler windfall will fit into her life. The owners of her lucky Royal Farms also benefit from her big win. The Wicomico County business located at 901 Snow Hill Road earns a $1,000 bonus from the Lottery for selling the top-prize winning ticket in the FAST PLAY game.
