It was a random hunch that led an Anne Arundel County woman to make her first-ever Lottery purchase, which was a $2 Powerball ticket. Her very first Lottery purchase turned into a $50,000 prize.
The nursing student bought her ticket at the Giant store located at 1649 Crofton Center in Crofton.
With no predetermined numbers to play, she decided on a Quick Pick. Later that evening, she checked the Lottery’s website and couldn’t believe what she saw. She matched four white balls and the Powerball number for a $50,000 payday. She decided to keep quiet upon discovering the big win, but was full of excitement on the inside.
The winner says she has no plans for her win. Her favorite hobbies include shopping, spending time with family and friends and going to beach.
