An avid Lottery player from Hyattsville who is partial scratch-off tickets and Pick 4 ended up with a $100,000 top prize on the new High Voltage instant game.
He says he was very excited when he realized he won and immediately called family members to share the news. As of Sept. 23, when he claimed his winnings at Lottery headquarters in Baltimore, he had no plans for the money.
He bought the $10 ticket at Hillandale Beer & Wine at 10117 New Hampshire Ave. in Silver Spring. He took it home to scratch, but returned to the store a short time later to scan it to confirm what he had seen, namely that he matched the number 49 in the ticket’s play area to secure the $100,000 win.
The High Voltage ticket was released in August with eight $100,000 top prizes. The Hyattsville man’s win leaves seven of those unclaimed.
