Suitland resident wins $50,000 on Pick 5 ticket
A Lottery player from Suitland has been playing Pick 5 consistently since the game launched in February 2022. He’s won smaller prizes in the past, but yesterday he got his biggest win yet taking home a $50,000 top prize.
The 76-year-old man made a stop at Meyer’s Liquors located at 3601 Old Silver Hill Rd in Suitland to purchase some Pick 5 tickets.
He learned later that same evening that he had a winner. “Well that’s cool,” the calm and collected man said to himself. The winner has told some people that he won the lottery, but he says he hasn’t told them how much. When asked of his plans, he just says he’s going to pay bills.
Meyer’s Liquors will receive a $500 bonus for selling a winning Pick 5 ticket worth $50,000.
