Eastern Shore man claims $50,015 Bonus Match 5 prize
Some people wait their whole lives to reach the point of retirement. Others dream about winning a big Lottery prize. One Eastern Shore man accomplished both dreams by winning a $50,000 Bonus Match 5 prize on the same day of his retirement.
The two-time winner bought his winning ticket at the Easton Crown gas station located at 301 North Washington Blvd. in Easton. The retailer is close to where he banks so he makes it a point to stop there every week to purchase Bonus Match 5 tickets.
Last month, he bought a ticket consisting of nine Quick Pick lines for seven draws. On Nov. 4, with only two drawings remaining on his ticket, he matched all five numbers on one line. The happy retiree woke up the next morning, checked the Lottery app and saw that he was a top-prize winner. In addition, he won $15 on the same ticket from another drawing.
As of now, his only plan for this lucky post-retirement windfall is to pay bills.
