Takes home top prize playing Six Figures scratch-off

A lucky scratch-off player from New York is so happy he visited his cousin in Woodlawn last month. While in Maryland, Prabhjit Singh bought a handful of scratch-offs and won $100,000 playing the Six Figures instant ticket.

Prabhjit plays scratch-offs often. Last month, he stopped at his cousin’s place of work, 7-Eleven #20772 located at 1808 Woodlawn Drive in Woodlawn, and decided to play some games while he waited. Among the games was the $10 Six Figures scratch-off.

“When I scanned the ticket, it said it was a $100,000 winner,” said Prabhjit. “I’m thinking the scanner must be broken, so I gave the ticket to my cousin to scan it.”

Sure enough, the 27-year-old was a big winner. The semi-truck driver works a lot and needed to wait until he had a day off to claim the prize, which he did last week. Prabhjit told Lottery officials that he plans to use the winnings in his business.

Selling a $100,000 top-prize winning scratch-off also benefits the convenience store. For its role in the transaction, 7-Eleven #20772 will receive a $1,000 bonus from the Lottery.

The Six Figures game went on sale Dec. 29 and has five top prizes remaining. Also available are six $50,000 prizes and 24 $10,000 prizes.
